Todays materials are much better than what was used in past. Rust proofing or undercoating can be a good thing especially applied on untreated metal. Cars are different than RVs. Ask if the material is applied by a trained installer, what is the composition of the material and also ask if it comes with a warranty? I disagree about rodent control, I know I filled all the access spots under my pod and undercoating would not have done that. But it can be a benefit, on untreated metal.]]>

Touch up any rust spots you see on the frame each year. The rest of the bottom can't rust. It isn't a car or truck. The bottom is wood foam and a water proof fabric.]]>

Since it was built in late 2017 it will have spent 2 Canadaian winters on dealers lot and I now have to decide if I want it undercoated. The dealer is suggesting that besides protecting against rust it is also good for rodent control. I realise this rubberised treatment will not protect against any rust already underway but I'm hoping this is minimal having little or no roadmiles on unit. Any thoughts and Thanks]]>
