Somewhere I read that "tv" (lower case) means television whereas "TV" (uppercase) means tow vehicle, which makes sense: tv is an abbreviation and TV is an acronym. I can't access the link above from my work PC, so it may be there.]]>

Maybe a bit of rambling but isn't that what travel is about?<div><br></div><div>While as a teenager and currently obtaining a couple I realize that we/they have their own language and abbreviations.&nbsp; &nbsp;There is a whole&nbsp; dictionary on line&nbsp; dedicated to their slang.&nbsp; Many I wish I didn't know.</div><div><br></div><div>While in the Military we had our own language and even each branch had their own special codes used when speaking to each other. I know many here remember them all to well... IE</div><div>WTH /( WTF ( which was often used.&nbsp; )&nbsp; Whiskey Tango Helo&nbsp; / Foxtrot</div><div>5 by 5</div><div>SNAUFU</div><div><br></div><div>etc.</div><div><br></div><div>As a cop I leaned the Ten codes as a ways of communication.&nbsp; My department only had two radio frequencies&nbsp; the second was meant for car to car , private conversations between dispatch and officer and warrant checks . We&nbsp; could have a full conversation and never speak a sentence. Brevity was golden.</div><div><br></div><div>I now work in the medical field in emergency medicine where we have our own language.&nbsp; DFO and FLK.</div><div><i><b style=""><font size="2"><br></font></b></i></div><div><i><b><font size="2">Which brings me to my topic.&nbsp; As&nbsp; you can see from the above I have not gotten on the abbreviation/ short and sweet wagon yet.</font></b></i></div><div><i><b><font size="2"><br></font></b></i></div><div><i><b><font size="2">What do you think of possible making a sticky for the top of pages to add our own culture of camping and R-Pod abbreviations.&nbsp; &nbsp;I find my self flipping pages often trying to find terms which mostly I know now but still sometimes forget.&nbsp; &nbsp;Maybe it could be an open list so others can add to it.</font></b></i></div><div><i><b><font size="2">Terms such as:</font></b></i></div><div><i><b><font size="2">WDH</font></b></i></div><div><i><b><font size="2">TT</font></b></i></div><div><i><b><font size="2">EMS</font></b></i></div><div><i><b><font size="2">TV&nbsp;</font></b></i></div><div><i><b style=""><font size="2">and I know there are many many more.&nbsp;&nbsp;</font></b></i></div>]]>
