Either way; TV or converter, the positive battery lead needs to be kept away from the frame (as well as the negative lead).

The converter method should work; the converter can supply a lot of amps.

Thx - I'll go with the TV option. I was thinking that if I tried it I needed to make sure that the battery leads weren't touching anything, including each other!

The converter may or may not work without the battery. The slide draws a lot of current and usually the battery provides some of it even with the converter plugged in. The TV approach is better or put the battery back in temporarily. Hi all - I finished winterizing my Pod a few weeks ago, including pulling the battery and placing it in my shop with a trickle charger. Now my wife wants to open up the slideout so that she can get something out from a storage area that is inaccessible when the slide is all the way in. Will it hurt anything to plug in ac power to the Pod if there is no battery in the unit? And will the slideout work w/ only shore power to the Pod, or does it only run on 12 volt. 

My knowledge of the 12 v/shore power system interface is limited and I don't want to end up doing any damage.I know there are many of you with deeper knowledge than me on matters of Pod power systems.
