OK, BBQ fans-  Anybody remember the now gone and greatly lamented GA Pig at the Jekyll Island Causeway exit off I-95?  Just had to be prepared for the tea brewed from local sulphur water.  Otherwise, the best pulled pork I've ever tasted.

(And if the tea didn't suit you, you could carry in a beer from the neighboring gas station / convenience store with their blessings.)

Sometimes got a little smokey from the wood fired open hearth cooking, but you could always grab a rocker on the porch.

Nope, it's fresh picked wild blackberries from Oregon or Washington that make a good pie.  And, of course, the crust needs to be made with either butter or lard to be really flaky and light.

Can't argue with pulled pork, though.

I'm transplanted from Kansas. Ahhh the BBQ war is on now! I'm firing off my salvo that without a doubt the best Carolina BBQ is Lexington style bar none. Lexington Barbecue (known by locals as Honey Monks) is #1 with nipping closely at its heals the Bar-B-Q Center. Nothing like smoked pork shoulder cooked in a real hickory wood fired pit served with your choice as fine or course chop or better lean brown sliced, with a side of BBQ slaw and extra BBQ dip! Yummm!

Of course maybe I'm a little biased? LOL

 I have never tried Key Lime pie from the Carolina's but we had a key lime tree in our backyard when we lived in south Florida and I would say a pie made at home would be best. There is a restaurant located I think in Key Largo that is known for their key lime pies.
