The extra space from the slide sold us.

I looked at the boondock version of the TAB400 and wasn't impressed by the equipment selection. While the ducted aircon in them is quieter than our roof units and doesn't take up roof space, it is still very inefficient. They still use AGM lead acid batteries, for those $ it should have Lithium Ion. Inverter is too small at 1200 watts to run either the air conditioner or the microwave reliably so I'm not sure what its there for, and the whole roof is curved which means they have to use "flexible" solar modules, which I would never choose. Better and much cheaper to get an rPod and then outfit it as you want.

Looks cool though.

Since ours is out of warranty, I will look for even closer options. I have fixed a number of things as well as made modifications myself since the cost in time and gas to tow to a repair place mean that simple repairs would cost more to get done under warranty than the cost to do it myself which is a moot point now.

He is right off I-65 as you go over the Tn. River. They are an independent repair facility and do not sell RV's. He is a FR authorized warranty repair center. I have bought a lot of parts from them and they have serviced my Pod under warranty on one occasion. Service was good they repaired a few things. In my case I was told a date to bring the Pod in so it doesn't sit on the lot. So far people are easy to deal with and you can talk direct with the repair tech if needed about your issues.

We moved to a small town and there is not much near by for RV repairs. There were many locations when we lived in Florida about five RV dealers within about 20 minutes of our home. The closest I can find for the warranty service would be about 55 miles away from where we live now. I am curious what the distance others are traveling for warranty service. Thank you
