Our vintage Airstream was all copper. Water lines too.. We changed the water to pex, and the gas lines to flex/rubber, because that is what we saw being done at the factory on our visit.

Our 2011 177 was soft lines, as is our Lance.

I presume it's not a "plain" rubber hose, but a reinforced rubber hose with some sort of fabric of nylon or kevlar under the surface. I think this is probably safer than any metal-type of pipe (be it copper, or steel).

I have read that Winnebago and Coachmen have made the change. I am wandering if it is to save money or if rubber hoses are better. Do the r-pods have rubber hose or black pipe for the propane lines under camper? Our 2012 V-Cross Vibe has black pipe a 2017 Coachmen trailer we want to buy has rubber hose, I am wanting to know if one is better than the other. I don't remember what our 2009 r-pod had. Thank you, David
