    <![CDATA[<strong>Author:</strong> <a href="http://www.rpod-owners.com/member_profile.asp?PF=1146" rel="nofollow">jato</a><br /><strong>Subject:</strong> 12137<br /><strong>Posted:</strong> 10 Sep 2018 at 7:16pm<br /><br />Have an older Sears Craftsman charger that does 50 amps, 20 amps, and 2 amps on auto or manual settings.&nbsp; Every year we pull out both of our group size 24 12 volt deep cycle batteries and set them on the concrete floor in our unheated garage.&nbsp; In November we will give each a 2 amp trickle charge that will normally take 24 hours to bring each to a full charge.&nbsp; They then sit there all winter and then the following May (first week) we repeat the process, again the charging time is in the 24 - 36 hour range at 2 amps.&nbsp; Batteries were purchased March 2011 and still going strong.&nbsp; I do check the water level 2 - 3 times per year and add distilled water to any cell that may be a tad on the low side.]]>

You can just leave the trailer plugged in and let the rPod battery charger do its thing, its a pretty decent 3 stage battery charger.&nbsp;]]>

(Drives wife nuts) Was causing battery to go flat every night. <br></div><div><br></div><div>Hooked up the trickle charger, it is holding the battery at 12.2 or roughly 3/4 charge. It is a lot smaller than a full sized battery charger, does not put out near as much heat.
