You can buy the WDH yourself & install it yourself. Not a big deal if you follow instructions. It does take a big torque wrench though.
As to which pod to get, I would base it on floor plan preference. All trailers have little issues that come up from time to time (and sometimes big issues) and if you are comfortable dealing with them then I'd say go used if you like the trailer. We did the same - our 179 was a year old and we paid $4,500 less than new. Lots of cushion there for modifications, repairs, etc.

We don't own an r-pod as of yet. However tomorrow(Mon 7/09) we driving 4 hours to look at a 2016 180. Supposedly like new from a dealer in Troy, Oh. If we don't like it or there is a quality problem, we are going to buy a new 189 from Avalon RV, Medina. on Tues. Does anyone have thoughts on which way to go. The difference in price $4,000 between new and old. Also both dealers insist we need wd/sway control, another $500 to $700. We had this on our much larger Jayco we just sold, was hoping to avoid it on this one. Sorry for being so long winded, but any input appreciated.

Thanks

Greg
