Really need to know if you have a WDH or just a shank and ball. If the latter, Walmart has a variety of balls and different 2" shanks - straight and up to 4" drop/rise (at my local store).

You'll want your trailer to be level or, even better, slightly lower at the tongue, when fully loaded for travel.

Not sure about that 1 inch calculation (others more knowledgeable will chime in) but no need to make the 4 hr trip; ball mounts are readily available at any decent rv shop and not very costly. My new TV sits substantially higher than my previous one that the dealer setup with the ball mount.  In looking at the ball mount instructions, it says to measure the height of ball coupler when the trailer is level and add one inch to that to determine the correct ball height setup.  Is that STOP around here?  The lowest I can get the dealer supplied ball mount puts it two inches higher than the coupler.  The dealer will swap it out for me, but that's a four hour roundtrip.]]> Sun, 10 Jun 2018 09:59:31 +0000 http://www.rpod-owners.com/forum_posts.asp?TID=11704&PID=110475#110475
