We were there yesterday for a picnic and rode our bicycles. The weather wasn"t great but we had a good time. It is a beautiful park and the campsites are nice with a lot of trees and shade. We camped there once and it is one of our favorite campgrounds. It has a small nature museum that is informative of the park and its wildlife. This past weekend camped at Oscar Scher State Park near Nokomis Florida; This is between Venice and Sarasota. Camp sites are nice with shade and natural vegation seperating the camp sites; The only problem we encountered was the distance from the water source to the camper; had to use 50' of water hose.

There are about 100 camp sites of all the campers there this weekend we were the only R-Pod.

However we did see 4 Casitas, 1 Scamp; 1 Trillion and an Alto.

Park sits on a tidal creek good Kayaking area; also has 6 hiking trails ranging in length from 1/2 mile to 5 miles.

Had a great time even with it raining most of Sunday; stayed nice and dry inside the camper. Didn't put up the R-Dome but did use the Quick Shade
