Glad you found your way here, both for your sake and ours. Earlier this week my guy and I met an RPodder from Washington who had his ham antenna on his truck. It appeared to be a very well done setup. Getting licensed is still on my "now that I'm retired &amp; can focus on it" list. Our community has several hams, classes, tons of support, etc. Oh yeah - we have a 179 too and really love it.&nbsp;]]>

The antenna is hard to see but, it is a "Hamstick" dipole.
