I saw a 178, the couple removed the entire dinette and replaced with 2 RV recliners and ate off TV trays.  Personally I would leave the forward seat in as it provides the storage area in front of Pod, but you could work around that.  Most of my 179 friends like the aft kitchen, but for me I cook outside mainly.]]>

If I needed space for dog crates I would pick a model with a forward dinette.  Remove the two side benches, leave the forward bench.  Store them away, so they could be put back.  I would have dog crates, a bench and wouldn't be messing with a slide out dinette.  You could preserve some storage that way]]>
