If you take more than 15 minutes a warning sounds. Emptying my tanks took about 10 minutes and then rinse out the hose and elbow with the fresh water line at the dump station. You can then let the lid down, put away the hose and elbow and rinse the dump apron to the drain. I didn't take that long, but someone with a big RV might find it a race to get done in that much time.
If you look you might find a video on dumping an RV, I did not find a good one for Rpods.

It might be a good Utube video, it does take a little planning and preparation.

If you have that you have it made just follow the hints and directions from this thread. Its just like you would do at a campground dump station but at home you can take your sweet time and flush out the tank good.

Hint...you might want to look into a what some people call a sewer or toilet wand. Which is just a four foot or so section of pipe connected to an on/off valve which connects to a water hose. Easy to make and great for cleaning out a plug up black tank or just general cleaning.

If I am next in line I will preset some things to be ready. Pull out the drain hose and set it near the dump station. Get on my gloves and be set to hookup as soon as the dump station is clear. If possible wife helps attach black tank flush. We connect the dump hose to black and turn on the flush. Drain, close for a minute, drain again then dump the grey. Close the valves, put on the caps, flush the hose and rinse the dump area and put the hose away and move on. About 8-10 minutes even with the black flush. Final items like adding water and chemicals to black tank can be done after moving away from dump area.

Most seem to have one dump station with two "bays". Weekends (especially holidays) can be very busy. Most everyone leaves on the same day, in roughly the same time frame. This is where time occupying the dump station becomes critical. If you happen to be guy #10 in line, and everyone in front of you is taking 20 minutes to dump......you would be waiting/idling for over 1 1/2 hours.

However if you are guy #200, you would be waiting over 33 hours. As for coming up to pad and finding crap all over it well that why there should be a hose there to wash it all away down the sewer drain and if others wanting to use the dump station behind me have to wait to bad! If no one is behind me waiting I will use the black water flush and rinse out the tank one or two times to clear up the tank sensors. It amazes me that no one makes, as far as my RV people tell me, black water sensors that clear out once you dump the tank. I'm also perplexed at how many campgrounds I've stayed at in places like State Parks which have no sewer hookups and they only have one dump station for a large number of sites. Though the best I saw was in a State Park in PA that had like a three lane dump station if my memory serves me right.
