In Kentucky it is legal to hunt raccoons and coyotes at night during season.

Generally, if I see any nocturnal animal up and about during the day, on our property, they go in a sink hole. Last year, the pup and I had a skunk charge us at 3 in the afternoon, fairly good sized one too. Don't know if he was sick, or just crazy. Either way, outcome was the same.

I saw a raccoon not to long ago wander across my lower driveway and down to the creek on my property in the middle of the day. So I wonder if he could of gotten into some "stoner" weed patch? Interesting, we have a Coyote and Hog issue in TN, but it is illegal to hunt at night. If you see a Coyote during the day, chances are they are rabid. Of course you can shoot if endangered.
