Wind was 50-60 MPH, and the slide-out was pointed toward the wind. When we extended the slide-out, we found a small puddle under the refrigerator (less than 1/8 cup, but I didn't measure it). We have since had big wind & rain in the same circumstance, but with the slide-out extended & did not have any leaks at all.

My point being that I think rain can come in through the refrigerator vents with sufficient wind in an inconvenient direction. Our experience has been when the slide-out is retracted, but I haven't examined how it happens.
Sorry to see you had problems. I you have many great adventures and make many great memories doing so, even if there is the occasional glitch.

Did you check the sink drain line? When we bought our 179, the sink fittings were not tight enough and it leaked. If you lowered the slide-out side and the leak stopped, it might be that the water is now running toward the outer wall so it may still be leaking but you are not seeing it. If it is not any of the sink fittings or water draining from the refrigerator (another possibility), then by all means check the slide-out.

Take a good look at the seals around the slide-out. You should never have to duct tape it as there are multiple seals to prevent water intrusion. It could be that one of them is not in place, leaving a gap for water to enter. You did not say where you saw the water. Was it high up or low down? Try to trace back to possible points of entry from where you saw the water. The slide-out could be a red herring and it may have come from a completely unrelated place. While you are at it, check the fittings in the shower and for the sink also just to make sure the water did not come from one of those places.
Spent about 3 weeks in it. Really liked it, but we had a leak when it rained. We lowered the slide-out side and stopped it. Took it to the dealer, but they couldn’t duplicate the leak. I’ll have to find it myself. I don’t think the leak is from the slide-out because I duct taped around around it and still leaked.
