Our Carefree cover pools water a little. It's not a big deal to us: it runs right off when we retract the slide, as furpod alluded to. Pretty much impossible to stop the pooling, it's a flexible near flat surface. The good thing is, when you bring the slide in, it drains just fine. We never had an issue with it.

I'm looking at a slide topper for our 179. Is the Carefree kover III the only one that has a hard case? I thought I remembered another but my head is spinning with all the options.
