I look forward to the first trip each year.  It could be a little dicey in Wisconsin in April, but Fort Massac is southern Illinois and will be green and mostly warmer.  Thinking about it will get us through the rest of the winter.

Ahhhhhhh. I read this this with envy. My First definite, already booked trip out is the official starting weekend of memorial day weekend. I may get out a week or 2 earlier if time permits, but, campgrounds are not booking in april around here, so I know for sure I won't be out then.
