Author: rpodadmin
Subject: 111
Posted: 28 Apr 2009 at 9:52pm

I saw some posts recently about picking up an r-pod at a remote dealer and camping your way home... there are a couple of points I wanted to clarify...

Fresh Water: Some folks had said that they had to run 'bleach' thru the fresh water lines before using them. First off, you don't need to do that unless you plan on drinking from the tank .. if you are using it to shower - wash off dishes etc, you can pass on that until you get home. Grab a 24 pack of water bottles for the fridge and take off camping.

You can run a very diluted amount of bleach or chlorine in the lines to sterilize them... installing a Nature Pure water filter is a great idea as well.

Also, in new campers you will almost always see two things... saw dust and plastic trimmings - it is just part of the new camper experience. When you are pulling the r-pod saw dust may work it's way out and all over the bed, dinette table or counter... it will stop after a few trips.. it is normal and expected... hope this helps.
