Your water tank should be empty. It will need to be sanitized. You can either buy a bottle of fresh water tank sanitizer or simply use bleach. I wrote this up last year here: http://www.rpod-owners.com/forum_posts.asp?TID=10847&PID=101395&title=water-systems#101395. You can change the water heater bypass valve so the hot water heater and lines will be sanitized also. It isn't hard but does take a little time to do.

Other than that, it is making sure everything is in good order and working. Make sure your battery (if not maintenance free) has sufficient electrolyte and add distilled water if needed. Make sure your electrical connector is not corroded and test your lights. Check the frame for any rust and spot-treat with Rustoleum Rust Reformer or your preferred rust remover as needed and top coat with paint as desired. Check your seals and treat them. Then go out and have a fun camping trip.

Well, there is this little event coming up in October--the 10th anniversary Rally hosted by the Kentucky Mini-Mini. We are planning on going. It looks like it will be a popular event. Last word was that there aren't too many sites left.

Welcome! I hope you get more opportunities to enjoy your R-Pod. My wife and I enjoy our 2016 RP179. We hope to get together for a camping trip with our daughter and family in June for a joint camping trip to Yellowstone. I think that will be a lot of fun. Hello.  I’m new to this forum so bear with me while I learn.  I am so grateful for collective experience and I have learned so much more about my Rpod from this forum than any other site.  I have an 2015 R182G that I’ve taken out 4 times total.  I absolutely love it.  I am a therapist.  I love hiking and kayaking.  I love sci-fi books and movies.  I have 3 Pugs and they love the Rpod too.  I also have 2 children and one grandchild.  I have been out with all of the pugs, one child and one grandchild stuck in a storm for three days in the Rpod and we all had a great time!  I can’t wait until winter is over and will probably try to get out at the end of February.  I live in the Pacific Northwest.  Anyone else go early out early in the season?]]> Tue, 16 Jan 2018 23:38:12 +0000 http://www.rpod-owners.com/forum_posts.asp?TID=11071&PID=103711#103711
