For Skyline Drive, check out the <a href="https://www.nps.gov/shen/index.htm" target="_blank">Shenandoah National Park</a> web page. Look for the "Camping" link toward the bottom of the respective web page. During busy times, the campgrounds will fill up. There are other campgrounds near the BRP and SD though which also are good choices.<br>]]>

Minutes from the BRP. Nice CG, good owners and staff.<br><br>We also like Pride RV Resort in Maggie Valley near Waynesville NC. Very near Maggie Valley, and all the stuff at the southern end of the BRP, Cherokee NC, etc.<br>]]>

    <![CDATA[<strong>Author:</strong> <a href="https://www.rpod-owners.com/member_profile.asp?PF=6255" rel="nofollow">craigwood</a><br /><strong>Subject:</strong> 11063<br /><strong>Posted:</strong> 14 Jan 2018 at 10:18am<br /><br />We are planning a long autumn camping trip from our home in ID to the DC area, heading to the Smoky Mtns NP first then driving up the Blue Ridge Pkwy and Skyline drive.&nbsp; Will make reservations at Cherry Hill campground near DC for a 6 day base camp but was looking for suggestions for shorter base camps near the Smoky Mtn NP and camps&nbsp;along the Blue Ridge and Skyline Drive.&nbsp; Base camps I would need electricity otherwise we are fine boon docking.&nbsp; The way back will be through Gettysburg, Niagara Falls, across a bit of Canada and across the southern shore of L. Superior then through N. Dakota and Montana.&nbsp;&nbsp;'17 F150 towing a '15 179.&nbsp; We plan on&nbsp;about&nbsp;a month of camping - any campground suggestions?&nbsp;]]>
