    <![CDATA[<strong>Author:</strong> <a href="http://www.rpod-owners.com/member_profile.asp?PF=7446" rel="nofollow">thomandwendydodge</a><br /><strong>Subject:</strong> 10743<br /><strong>Posted:</strong> 01 Oct 2017 at 9:12pm<br /><br /><div>Greetings group,</div><div><br></div><div>My wife and I finally broke down (like MANY others it seems) and purchased our first TT and chose the R-Pod because we liked how it looked, appreciated the construction of the shell, and the fact it would be light and easy for our current TV to tow.</div><div><br></div><div>We purchased a 2018 R-Pod 179 Hood River edition.&nbsp; We tow with our 2015 Ford Explorer Sport, V6EB and factory HD tow package.</div><div><br></div><div>We only just purchased it in late August and got to take it out a couple of times into the Central Idaho mountains.&nbsp; Luckily, the entire experience was very positive, spending almost a full week camping our last trip (with full hookups, yeah!). &nbsp;</div><div><br></div><div>We have made a lot of additional purchases in preparation for a much more eventful camping season next year.&nbsp; We picked up a Champion 3100 watt Inverter generator (with propane hook up too).&nbsp; Most receintly purchased a blue ox swaypro to get the weight distributed as Ford requires if towing to Class III.&nbsp; It was expensive, but it really solved the rear squat.&nbsp; We have already had to winterize, since our climate here in Idaho is turning cold. &nbsp;</div><div><br></div><div>Anyhow, I have been reading posts on here for a while, and have definitely benefitted from things I have read, and will read.&nbsp; We are thankful to be a part of this community, and look forward to sharing our experiences (and where possible, help) to others. &nbsp;</div><div><br></div><div>Happy camping folks!</div><div><br></div><div>-Thom and Wendy&nbsp;</div>]]>
