Cape Henlopen State Park - Lewes, DE (Beaches, history, trails, bike paths, pet friendly)

Gifford Pinchot State Park - Wellsville, PA (Woods, trails, bike path, small beach)

Gettysburg Campground - Gettysburg, PA  (nice staff, snack bar, fun weekend activities, creek side spots are wide and spacious)

Welcome pierpod,

Here's a few we have stayed, west to east.

Cunningham Falls. It's a good place to camp and day trip to Gettysburg, PA.

Elk Neck State Park. Bring your boat!

Tuckahoe State Park. We like this campground as basecamp for visiting St. Michaels, Md.

Assateague National Seashore. We podded across the country and up and down both coasts. This remains one of our favorites! Beware of skeeters from June-September.

New podders here,

Our Pod's home base is in the eastern panhandle of WV (not far from Washington DC).  Seeking ideas long weekend campsites.  WV/VA/MD/PA/and NY.

Dry camping is OK.  We enjoy day hiking and some privacy.  

Recently, we stayed at Shawnee State Park in PA.  We enjoyed it and plan to go back.
