    <![CDATA[<strong>Author:</strong> <a href="http://www.rpod-owners.com/member_profile.asp?PF=7532" rel="nofollow">Rossjt12</a><br /><strong>Subject:</strong> 10539<br /><strong>Posted:</strong> 25 Aug 2017 at 2:00pm<br /><br />Me too - Got my new 178 late last fall - took some local "shake-down" trips (parked on my daughter's driveway in Gainesville for a week....(plugged into a 120 outlet with 30 Amp cable adapter and got my AC working...no sweat.)&nbsp;<div>&nbsp;<div>So took our first long trip late June-Early July....pulled my R-Pod with my 2006 Chevy Tahoe V8 5.6 - 18 days out...first from home in Orlando, FL to Blufton / Hilton Head, S. Carolina...overnights in Roanoke Rapids RV Park, nice then onto to KOA in West Chester/Philly, PA....very very nice...</div><div><br></div><div>then onto to Battle Row Camp Ground, Bethpage State Park, Long Island, NY...several days - then drove North Shore to Orient Point - loaded Tahoe and R-Pod on ferry across LI Sound to New London, CN..drove up thru RI to south of Boston area - Wompatuck State Park...visited Boston...then drove through VT up to Montreal KOA....then to Quebec City...then back through NY State to Princeton, NJ &nbsp;- then onto Charlotte, NC (run down KOA)...then back to Orlando - 4109 miles roundtrip.</div><div><br></div><div>We scheduled to drive no more then 6 hours each leg so we get to the next stop at mid-day early enough to see some sights that day...early starts makes the difference - we did do a couple of 10-11 hours runs....too long...</div><div><br></div><div>My only advise for travelers using either the PA or NJ Turnpikes - get an EZ Pass...Tolls are expensive - $38 bucks NJ across the Varranzano Bridge...</div><div><br></div><div>Now back in Orlando and will do short trips to KOAs / RV Parks on East and West Coasts. &nbsp;The R-Pod 178 is the best choice for the feel of spaciousness end to end. &nbsp;Happy Travels to you R-Pod-ers out there..</div><div><br></div><div><br></div><div><br></div><div><br></div><div><br></div><div><br></div><div><br></div><div><br></div><div><br></div><div><br></div><div><br></div><div><br></div><div><br></div><div><br></div><div><br></div><div><br></div><div><br></div><div><br></div><div><br></div><div><br><div><br></div><div><br></div></div></div>]]>

We LOVE it! With my drive on leveling wedge and drill adapter for the stabilizers, I am set up and disconnected in under 10 minutes. This is sooooo much better than the old hybrid trailer we started with!]]>

    <![CDATA[<strong>Author:</strong> <a href="http://www.rpod-owners.com/member_profile.asp?PF=7490" rel="nofollow">pieropod</a><br /><strong>Subject:</strong> 10539<br /><strong>Posted:</strong> 21 Aug 2017 at 2:32pm<br /><br />Howdy,<div><br></div><div>We bought a 2018 178. &nbsp;We've been looking at small campers for almost 10 years and finally bought. &nbsp;We almost purchased an aliner - I think we couldn't have gone wrong either way. &nbsp;Though, after our first long weekend of glamping in the POD we are very excited to make the purchase.</div><div><br></div><div>Its just 2 of us and our 60lb dog. &nbsp;I'm 6'2', its more cozy than I imagined. &nbsp;</div><div><br></div><div>I race cars and we love to hike. &nbsp;Hoping the POD gets us closer to the action. &nbsp;A few lessons learned from our first outing -</div><div><br></div><div><ul><li>Be careful maneuvering the POD on uneven ground. &nbsp;Its easy to drag and damage the load leveling jacks</li><li>Campground folks are super approachable and helpful! &nbsp;A complete stranger helped me flush my tanks for the first time!!! &nbsp;I have to pay it forward!!!</li><li>On the 178, the bath makes a much needed closet when not in use.</li><li>THERE IS A LOT TO LEARN! &nbsp;Though, I've learned to let go and enjoy it - not worrying about the mistakes that will be made. &nbsp;</li></ul><div>Excited to join the group,</div><div>PPod</div><div><br></div></div>]]>
