It has a cooling fan that kicks on when baking, or even nuking if it gets hot enough in the enclosure. <br><br>It should make no sounds when not in use, or not having just been used. Have you used it at all? Is this a new Pod? or new to you?<br><br>And "dirty power" has nothing to do with the amperage. If it was a dirty power issue of any type, it would manifest itself while being used. Not when off.<br>]]>

If your microwave is making a noise, it could be dirty power, or it could be something else. The 15 amp connection should be irrelevant.]]>

Plugged it back in, sound came back.<div><br></div><div><b>Sound description: </b>Pretty faint, but noticeable for sure when you open door. It sounds like air escaping, or the light electric sound of a small fan. Also could be compared to the sound of turning on propane and hearing it flowing before lighting.<br><div><br></div><div><br></div></div>]]>
