    <![CDATA[<strong>Author:</strong> <a href="http://www.rpod-owners.com/member_profile.asp?PF=1653" rel="nofollow">Tars Tarkas</a><br /><strong>Subject:</strong> 10239<br /><strong>Posted:</strong> 27 Jun 2017 at 7:36am<br /><br />Two things: you need to find the bypass valves and check them.&nbsp; They are on the inside of the pod, opposite where the water heater is on the outside.&nbsp; As far as I know, there's no such things as automatic bypass valves.&nbsp; If you're hearing the propane shut down, the bypass valves aren't your problem.&nbsp; You may need to let it try several times so that the system is purged of air.<br><br>If you're in a campground with electricity you can run the water heater on 120v AC in addition or instead of propane.&nbsp; If you do that and still don't get hot water your bypass valves are almost certainly in the winter position.<br><br>TT<br>]]>

    <![CDATA[<strong>Author:</strong> <a href="http://www.rpod-owners.com/member_profile.asp?PF=6146" rel="nofollow">spentwings</a><br /><strong>Subject:</strong> 10239<br /><strong>Posted:</strong> 26 Jun 2017 at 11:21pm<br /><br />I'm willing to do all that if she would figure out why I can't get the hot water to work on our R179! &nbsp;I turn the switch to the "on" position and hear what sound like the burner tuning on. &nbsp;But after about 10-15 seconds it shuts down and the DSI Fault light reappears. &nbsp;Propane is on, stove burners function normally. &nbsp;I'm hooked to city water, pressure is normal from both hot and cold kitchen spigots. &nbsp;Outside shower is &nbsp;checked and off. &nbsp;The manual refers to bypass valves which I cannot find anywhere. &nbsp;It seems like some models (maybe mine) have automatic bypass valves, but I haven't been able to determine what I really have. &nbsp; &nbsp;Nor, does the manual explain how the automatic valves are supposed to work.<div><br></div><div>I removed the vent under the bed, no valves anywhere in there. &nbsp;None on the outside water heater panel, either.</div><div><br></div><div>I'm hooked to the RV park AC and water.</div><div><br></div><div>I'm stumped.</div>]]>
