FYI, it was an smtp (mail) relay thing. Not unusual.

The platform is a Microsoft Windows based. It also uses a database. Thinking about it, I suspect some form of database corruption or that the database needs to be compacted.

I suspect the issue is either with the server platform itself and/or the ancient forum software (we're on version 9.64, released in 2009). +1 I too have noticed the same thing. It is painfully slow to post a reply to a post. If I exit out and come back, it appears the post was completed, but the forum left me hanging. For whomever is the current forum admin.

You may wish to look at the spam settings and/or email response (smtp) settings. Perhaps even database. Frequent serious delay in page (database) response. Prolly easy to fix. just thought you should know. Thanks for all your generous efforts!
