not sure what the vavaboom is, but, like, a couple billion people heat water with propane or natural gas around the world.. you are MUCH more likely to get electrocuted then vavaboomed.

The switch is on amazon, etc, just a basic rocker switch.

yes you can replace the switch. it may take a couple tries/resets to get the WH running on propane if it's been a while.

just got back from our 1st trip this yr. having trouble  with the water heater not lighting try to but after 
3 try's va va voom  and will not light  scares the crap  out of you. you can hear it ark  but will not light. also toggle switch on elect. unit stuck on can you replace the switch or just the whole unit.
