As stated above it's not very fast, and the auto trans often needs to be shifted manually to select the correct gear. But it's very stable with a weight-distributing anti-sway hitch. Would a V8 engine be better? Yes, but the Wrangler can do it.<div><br></div>]]>

Therefore, the trailer does not exert as much force on the tow vehicle. I noticed this when I moved from the Escape to the Frontier. The distance between the axle and hitch on the Escape was about 3 feet. On the Frontier, it is more like 5 feet. I notice the trailer more with the Frontier than I did with the Escape. That extra 2 feet makes a difference.<br>]]>

Of course, prior years do not carry that rating. And a 2 door Jeep has very little/short wheelbase, which can be a critical issue.]]>

But each their own.<br>Itll be a slug in hills around Ky, esp if you have Auto.<br>There were times in mtns in Wa state id be going 35max in 3rd with stick. <br>Itll do it, wont be fast...<br>]]>
