This is it! The First Annual Alaska Moose in the Pod Rally! This year the rally will be held Labor Day weekend, Sept. 1-4 in Palmer, Alaska at the Big Bear Campground and RV Park. Big Bear is an established RV park on the border of Palmer and Wasilla, directly off the Parks Highway (near the Glenn Hwy interchange) and not far from the Alaska State Fairgrounds. It is a Good Sam Park and offers the Good Sam discount, and is pet friendly. They have everything from electric only sites, all the way up to full hookups, as well as a pavilion for our meetups, wifi, laundry, showers, and just about everything you could need. Here is what you need to do if you'd like to attend:

STEP 1: This is the last weekend of the Alaska State Fair and usually a very busy time for RV parks in the area. PLEASE MAKE YOUR RESERVATION NOW, and make it directly with Big Bear by following this link: Big Bear Campground and RV Park. You only need to put 10% down now to secure a spot. They usually run out of spots during the fair and we don’t want you to miss out so reserve NOW. 
STEP 2: When making your reservations, please make sure to put in the reservation comments section “We are with the RPOD group” or something to that effect. The park owner will try to get us together. 
STEP 3: Email me at traceyporreca@gmail.com and let me know you are coming. I will get some info from you so that we make sure we have enough goodies for everyone. 

Along with the fair, we will have some fun at Big Bear. Here are some ideas to get you started:

- Friday night will be a cookout meet and greet featuring reindeer sausages and other Alaskan meats. I’m hoping to get donations from a local supplier and ask that you bring your own sides, drinks, and condiments like mustard, ketchup, relish, etc.
- Saturday night will be a Pod Luck – bring your favorite dish to share. 
- Sunday night will be dessert night – again, bring your favorite dessert and your sweet tooth!

The Alaska State Fair has some great discount deals on tickets if you purchase them in advance on their website.
