Does anyone have info about if the awning offered for the new 179 can be purchased for older 179's ? I believe it is made by Thule. Does anyone no of a box awning being offered that can be installed on the 179 like the forest river awning being used on the new 179? I found a source for an 10x8 Thule box awning for $400.00 but I would need a mounting kit to attach it to my 179.

My understanding is it cannot. The old model 179s did not have the exterior wall strength for the awning. New 179s have a bolstered wall.

Interesting. Thanks for the info. Where would you suggest me advertising my 179 for sale?

Only if you are dissatisfied. Some folks want bigger, some newer, different model, etc. really up to you.

I am not dissatisfied with my 179. We love it. It's a 2015. We miss having a roll out awning. If I sell mine I would buy the new 2018 179.
