Subject: Frame Rail Openings a rear of Pod

Today, I decided to block my frame rail openings at rear of Pod. Tired of red wasps, here in TN. Every time I got under rear of Pod I got attacked by wasps building nests in frame rails. I cut wood blocks that shut off end of frame rail. Happy.

Thanks for the tip. I immediately went outside and cut a 2x4 inch piece of foam rubber and shoved it in there

I don't see why not. However, it wouldn't be very attractive. If you can put some kind of finish over it to make it look nice, I think it would be one of the easier ways to accomplish the task. I would think it would be good to have some space for ventilation though. If there are any places water can get in, having openings would help to dry it out to minimize rust potential.

Stephen,
I actually made mine with a screw in attachment that allows me to remove them for maintenance. Not sure how water would get in frame rail, but I considered. I had red wasps, yellow jackets and an occasionally wren building nests in the open frame rails.

Condensation and rust would be my big concern in humid places. How about making a little frame and covering it with screen that would let the air circulate?
