can someone tell me how to check and see if converter has gone bad. Battery was charged and during the night all 12 volt went dead. I am plugged into shore power and 110 things are working. Think it is converter but don't know how to check to see.  Thanks!!

In your electrical breaker/fuse panel are two 40A fuses. Check those. It is possible that one or both of those might be blown. If the battery was connected backward, even for a moment, those will blow to protect the converter. If those are blown, it could explain the converter not charging the battery. While you are at it, check all the fuses on the 12V side. If your panel is like mine, a blown fuse will be indicated by a red LED light next to the fuse. I don't know if that works if the converter fuses are blown though. Our R-Pod is not here for me to check.

First check the 2-40 amp fuses in the circuit breaker/fuse panel, even a momentary reverse current will blow both instantly. Next check that no circuit breakers are open. The best way to check cb's is to put them all the way off then back on.

That's all I have if you don't have multimeter.

Good Luck

PS: I'm assuming the battery is connected.

A) how do you know the battery was fully charged?
B) what all was running on 12v?
C) if the converter is getting 120v, and not producing 12v, it may be bad. But it may be a tripped breaker, blown fuse or loose wire.

Thanks for all your help. Turns out the battery was the problem and wound up having to purchase a new one. All is working now.

Thanks to the forum, turns out the 40 amp fuse was blown. Went to an Auto Zone nearby and bought a package for under four bucks. Problem solved!

Would like to know what fuse is for the Jensen audio system? Unit not working at all. No lights, etc. reset didn't help.
Also, I can't find the control / crank to raise the tv antenna!

Thanks!

My antenna does not raise, it swivels around to get signals.

Old style (2015) don't rotate or raise. It's an Omni-directional with PA.

Just a follow up to help others: The Jenson has a 10 amp fuse in the power line going into the unit
You will need to remove the four screws and slide the unit out from the wall. Detach the power cord and you will see the 10 amp blade fuse. Remove and inspect. Our fuse was blown and after replacing unit works fine. Smile
