Just spent 4 days along the Colorado River. Only running the A/C unit, no hot water, heater or stove use.  Late in the evening CO/PLG detector went off indicating a carbon dioxide and a LPG leak issue.  Alarm went for 5 minutes and stopped.  Later again the alarm went off indicating an LPG only issue but it would not stop so I pulled it from its base and removed the wiring.  In both cases there was no CO or LPG issues.

Has anyone had a similar issue or has there been any reports of defective sensor units?

As the only appliance in use was the A/C unit that runs on electricity, in this case provided by a shore plug at the campsite, no CO or LPG was or could have been in the Rpod.

Your comments, experience or thoughts on this matter.

Ours goes off if the dog sleeps against it. The dog is a 110# lab.

We had a tent trailer before the rPOD.  The detector would go off when the battery got low.

That was the case with ours, low battery.  Replaced it and it lasted another 2 years, after that the whole thing was replaced, even a new battery wouldn't stop it from chirping.

I had seen somewhere there was a bad batch of CO2 detectors and to have it replaced. Makes sense as mine would go off when stored last summer, repeadtedly and no one was using the camper.
