I need to adjust the brakes on our new R-Pod 180.  I've seen warnings about jacking on the axle, I think. What/where is the proper place for the jack and jack stands?

I use a floor jack (1.5 ton) that I keep in the storage of our 177.  I get as close as possible to the inside of the tire where there is a flat portion past the axle.  Make sure you chock both sides of the opposite tire when doing this for safety's sake.

I jack at the bottom of the riser bracket. Not on axle.
