I am a new R Pod owner and removed the two 12v. batteries while the pod was in a non-heated building for winter in Montana.  I am confused by YouTube videos on the correct way to reconnect my battery cables.  My unit has an extra red and black cable, but I am confused after an R Pod representative suggested I connect in series but all the YouTube vids say parallel.   Any wisdom would be much appreciated and if you can upload a photo, even better!  Thanks in advance!

Parallel.  Series would give you 24 volts which would do great and expensive harm.  Positive to positive and Negative to negative .

You might benefit from reading a book -"!2 volt Bible for Boats".   About $15 from Amazon.

You'd connect two 12v batteries in parallel; two 6v batteries in series.
