Received word that our new 178 is scheduled to be produced tomorrow! The dealer said my pick-up date will be May 17. Now...where to take it for its "shakedown"...

Ahhhhh, the excitement begins!  Time to plan, maybe do an easy one . . . in your driveway for an overnighter.   Then on to bigger and better, good to work the little bugs out at home, take notes, then go for the shakedown trip, an event to remember.  I still remember ours, March 2011 in our driveway, in lots of snow.  First real trip was 2 months later, it was great and a lot of fun planning.

Indeed! I think our shakedown trip will actually occur on the trip home. We are taking delivery in Indiana and plan on taking a leisurely couple of days to get back home to Virginia. Big smile

Snow in March in the U.P.? Say it isn't so!

Well . .. . . . . actually we had snow TODAY, and it is May 2, we are about 75 miles south of the Mackinac Bridge.  The golfers kept playing, fortunately it only lasted for an hour or so.  And the ground is warm enough so that it didn't stick.  Yes, the 54 holes here are still green.

We will be making the trip up to Goshen once we are notified that repairs on our 2016 RP-179 are expected to be complete by the time we will get there. I was told they would call a week before expected completion. I'm not sure exactly wen that will be. It should be sometime this month.

I'm hoping we can take a factory tour while we are there. Our plans for the return trip are to visit the Ark Encounter in Williamstown, KY and the Quilt Museum in Paducah, KY.

I was so sorry to hear of the unfortunate incident with both your Escape and your R-Pod. But thankfully, you were able to walk away to post another day!

Hopefully you'll be back in the Pod soon and are able to enjoy your trip! Incidentally, I would LOVE to take a tour of the factory!

I lived just outside of Marquette for a few years and loved it! I also made quite a few trips to the Soo last year for work. I relish every opportunity I get to cross the bridge!
