I can't remember if it is 1 or 2 cups of bleach to sanatize the water tank?

I have always had good results with just 1/2 cup of bleach and then fill the tank, flush the lines, drain everything , and then refill.

It won't hurt either way. It just stays overnight anyway, then gets flushed the following day.

across all systems, 1/4 cup per 15 gallons of holding tank. 6 hour dwell time.

Is it necessary to sanitize the fresh water system after flushing out all the red winter anti-freeze? I just ran city water through all faucets until running clear, then quite a bit more. Then I ran the pump the same way pulling water from the fresh water tank quite some time after running clear. I left the antifreeze in the toilet bowl since we never use it - always use campground toilet facilities. Any harm in that?

If you are going to use your water system for drinking, brushing teeth, etc. you should sanitize it. If you don't use the toilet bowl, you could certainly leave the antifreeze in it. However, part of sanitizing is to flush the chlorine solution through all the water lines, to include the one for the flush valve. It would dilute the antifreeze in the bowl, but that would not be a bad thing.

Yes, because the holding tank wasn't filled with anti freeze, nor the water heater.. Those areas could both still be harboring bacteria.. But I do believe that the anti freeze goes a long way towards sanitizing. Being mostly alcohol..
