| another 1.5" here in eastern KS. last night. We are somewhere around 12" for April so far. Our first planting of potatoes rotted got the second planted will see if we get to plant them over in a in a day or two |

Glad I put a marine porthole on the door of our pod. 😎 I had given some thought to a periscope mounted on top, but decided it was too much trouble and would not be of much use. Now maybe I should rethink the idea. Our rivers are rising here as the days are getting hot and the snow is melting fast. ------------- Never leave footprints behind. I just got a trainer stand for my bike. It's great! I can ride it in a rainstorm in my garage (door closed) in my bathrobe while watching TV! Sorry for the visual. Not sure if it will work for a Harley, but works great for a Schwinn. If you get a set of rollers like a real cyclist.. you will find you dress appropriately.. No one want's EMT's to find them in a bathrobe.. Although, with maybe 1000 miles on my rollers, I never have crashed... bad. ------------- |

furpod, I gotto a ways to go before I work the courage to try on a pair of those butt hugger shorts. I just started this and 30 minutes/day @ 80-90 cadence with moderate resistance is just enough to make me drool and speak incoherently. We have not, but another couple we ride tandems with, SHE is a freeking monster, he hooked up a drive on her stationary trainer to attach their GrainMaker grain mill to... so she makes a couple cups of flour every day while riding the trainer, and he bakes bread and cookies with the "proceeds".. it's a win-win as they say.. LOL Oh, and on the shorts.. A) try "bibs" I have always like them better, and, B) look at Mt. Biking shorts, they have a inner liner with pad, and a more.. "casual" look on the outside... ------------- |
