I was told by my vehicle insurer that the camper is an extension of the tow vehicle and is covered, as long as I'm towing it. But what about when it's parked? What if a tree falls on it? Anybody know about conprehensive insurance?

I carry additional insurance on mine. This will cover it when it is parked in the campground unhooked or while it is in storage. ( in case of a tornado, etc) it is very inexpensive. Around 400 /year through geico or others. Worth it I think. My auto insurance only covers it when it is hooked up. ------------- 2017 R-pod 179 |

My homeowners covers anything that happens to my 177 if it is residing on my 20 acres. My auto policy has an addendum that covers my pod while camping regardless if I am hooked up or not. We have a policy on our pod to cover and incident or damage.

I don't have my auto insurance with geico but my trailer insurance is. Just had a 16 year old go on my insurance so I had to renegotiate. ------------- 2017 R-pod 179 |
