Finally warm enough to open the barn door and start summerizing the rPod.  This will be the third camping season.  We have two Trojan batteries - 6v.  I flipped open the caps and noticed something I hadn't seen before.  The little plastic lip inside the cell says "water Level".  I hadn't noticed that before.I could see water well above the plates.  I started adding distilled water and was surprised that each cell - which looked nearly full - required 4 to 6 oz of water. to get up to the little lip.  So I guess I hadn't been adding enough water before.  The Pod is plugged in all the time.  You might want to look at yours with a flashlight.

Not surprised by your findings.  I will normally add 1 oz. or so per cell on my 12 volt deep cycle batteries each year.   The jury is out as to whether or not I will get another year out of them.  They were purchased March 2011 so year #7 begins.  We will see.
