I've been reading the posts talking about adapters, testers, etc. until my head is swimming.  Would someone tell me what I need to plug my rpod into household power?  Can I just get a heavy duty extension cord and an adapter?  Yes?

Yes.  You have it exactly right.  Unless you have a 30amp household circuit you won't be able to run the air and the oven at the same time, but how often will that really matter?

Thanks for your quick reply.

So the adapter is, on one end a regular grounded plug, male, and, on the other end, a 30 amp female?

Thanks!
I bought a surge protector.  Should I include that in the daisy chain, as it were?

Yes. Better safe than sorry.
