The pleated shades were great before, I only removed them because they didn't match my interior design scheme. Embarrassed 

I found  http://https//www.amazon.com/Dupli-Color-HVP106-Black-Performance-Fabric/dp/B00098PO3G - dupli-color vinyl and fabric  spray paint in flat black at my local auto part store - figured it was worth a try. It took about a million coats, but eventually it looked like this: 


I love how it turned out. It does make it very dark in the camper when they are pulled shut (an advantage for us). As you can see, we also removed the valances and added curtains. I did have to cut a small hole in the valances to get them off...there was screw I couldn't access under the fabric. Still trying to figure out how FR screwed it in lol.
