What size is adequate to run the TV, CPAP, computers, fan, etc. probably not all at once, but this is camping. The TV is around 25watts, CPAP (not sure, not mine), Computer 60-70watts, fan 80watts. What am i missing? If i am right, just add the loads, right? so a 500watt inverter would do it no problem. So double it to be safe and get a 1000 watt? What have you experienced with your battery life and using inverters. i have two CG 6volt batteries, 220 amp hours.
Another question about solar. I have a Zamp 80 with a 10amp controller. Could i add another 80 watt panel and use the same controller? the zamp max is about 4.5 amps so that would be 9 amps to a 10 amp controller. Will that work?

1) I would recommend the SMALLEST inverter you can wire up, not the largest. Anything much over 400 watts begins to have other issues. Your FLA batteries are not going to be happy with the discharge rate needed, and inverter/battery efficiency gets worse and worse the higher the draw rate. Consider using 12v native appliances when ever possible.
2) yes, you can add another 80 watt panel.

The cpap does draw a lot especially if you use the humidifier

The power supply on my CPAP is rated at 65W.
A 400W inverter will pull about 30A from your battery when fully loaded down.

i think a 2-300 watt is plenty then. do the fans that are cooling the inverter draw much when the inverters are running? i think you just plug them in as needed based on the feedback. i thought about hardwiring one, but seem like overkill for 300 watts.
