Hello all. I'm a new owner of a 2017.5 179 I bought from the dealer. It was already winterized when I picked it up so I have a couple of questions.

1.  Do the caps on the low point drains screw on or are they the spring loaded push drain type? I tried to unscrew them and they wouldn't budge and I didn't want to use a wrench for fear of breaking them.

2.  I found a screw type white cap that came from somewhere that was in the water heater compartment. It had some teflon tape on it so it serves some function. Is this part of the fresh water drain maybe?

3.  When I got under the bed to examine the hwh bypass setup it wasn't quite what I expected. There were three valves but one was just upstream from the tube you stick in the antifreeze bottle. I'm assuming you keep that closed unless you are winterizing? If that is the case how will the other two bypass valves operate? Both closed for bypass and both open to operate?

Thanks for your input.

I have a 180, but likely same set-up and others can/will correct me if I mistakenly answer.
1. Mine were screw on, and yes were VERY tight.  I unscrewed them being careful not to break the weather seal.  However now can just put on hand-tight and very easy to get on and off.
2. If all your drains have caps, it's probably an extra they did not remove.  You'll find lots of screws, nails, etc inside as well.
3. Yes to all questions.

Thanks Bama. I think I will carefully try to break them loose with a crescent wrench. I did notice the foam weather seal was a little fragile around there. Maybe use two wrenches cause that plastic line flexes a lot. As for the cap, I think it could be the freshwater drain cap but I wasn't sure. When I look at the tank I don't see an opening though. Could be a debris shield of some sort. Oh well, only one way to find out. Fill the tank up right?

Our 174 screw on and I have to use two wrenches to loosen them.the male fitting in the plastic line wants to turn. They kinda put them in a tight spot
