So, I've been lurking for a while. Doing research, reading up on the R Pod and decided to pull the trigger.  I will be picking up my 2017 R Pod 179 this Saturday, February 11th!

I look forward to some awesome trips I have planned already this year, and also look forward to the camaraderie of this forum.  Seems like R Pod owners are kinda like Jeep owners, in a league of their own! lol

Look forward to being a part of it.

Bet you are excited.  We sure were when we got ours in March 2011.  Brought it home through a snowstorm, the next night we camped out, in the driveway!  Enjoy and be prepared to give tours of your 179; still a lot of interest in these TT's from curious onlookers, at least that is the case when we go camping.  Welcome!!

Sweet  Bought our 2017 Pod 179 at Petes in VT mid November.  Trailered it to Florida with stops in NJ and NC and couple days in Daytona Beach.  Awesome trailer and so much fun.  Had dealer put on the EXLift 300 hitch setup.  If have be sure to check the equipment each time you stop as we had one of the bars slip out and cannot purchase just a bar but had to buy the whole setup.  Anyway lesson learned.  Got several trips planned this spring including the Rpod gathering at Jekyll Island, GA in April to meet fellow Rpodders.  Happy travels

Welcome and congratulations! It isn't just when you are camping. I lost track of how many rest-stop tours I have given of ours. Big smile They do attract attention. I hope you have many adventures and make many great memories with your R-Pod.

Yeah, we narrowed it to the 178 and 179 and the extra storage made the deal for us.

I have a 178, got a deal on it used. We went to the Super RV show in Nashville a couple weeks back and the wife really liked the new 179s. They are sweet.

Yeah, I went to that RV show too.  That's what really sold me on the R POD.  I looked at the mini drop too by Winnebago while in Nashville, but they were asking way too much.  I narrowed it down to the R Pod, because it seemed they had a good following, great reviews and just an overall good product.

I feel I got a great deal on mine.  I ended up going through A and L RV in Johnson City.  They have been awesome.  I'm picking it up first thing in the morning.  I cannot wait!
