Greetings to all -

My wife Anja and I are blessed and fortunate that we are able to take delivery of our new, 2017.5 RPod 171 this morning from Princess Craft RV in Round Rock, TX. Thank you to all the various forum posts I have read the last month - your insights have given me a template of what to look for, ask about, and be wary of to maximize my delivery and ownership experience. This coming weekend will be our shakedown trip to Cleburne State Park with friends coming down from Plano, TX (we are out of Ft. Hood until this spring). More posts and pics to follow!!

Heh, happy for you, John & Anja !
 (and Rosie the uber-dog).....

Have a brother-in-law in Round Rock, and have enjoyed the Austin area, too, but haven't "camped" Texas yet. Want to set up in the Davis Mtns. area someday, and also attend at least one Austin City Limits show in person. (Our Tundra TV was built in San Antonio, then went a Round Rock dealer.)

We remember very well our first Pod 'shake-down' in early summer last year with ours. I remember that first list of essentials (that we would have liked to have on that first trip), much of which was already "free pickins" at home...

Our very first minor mod was simply attaching 2 little double-pouches (with 'Command' hooks) on the wall at the head of the bed for reading glasses, tiny flashlight, mobile phones, etc etc. We just used trimmed out sections of a wall-mounted shoe holder.

You'll have a blast over the years, and say goodbye to a lot of those odd smelling motel rooms, and 'questionable' continental breakfasts ! ! !

All the best to you both,

Brad & Layli

Enjoy the great out of doors, great to have you, welcome.  You won't even know you are pulling that 171 with all that power under your hood.  A couple years ago our son purchased a 2009 Dodge Charger, it was a retired State Police car from Michigan, it had the performance package included.  Kind of neat traveling in it as people would always slow down as it just looked like a unmarked police car with the one of a kind Michigan Blue color that only police cars have.  During the summer we had it up to 120 for a short distance, he let go of the steering wheel, no vibration or anything, acted like it was in park, pretty amazing.  But I digress.

Stick around on this forum, a of information awaits you, we have benefited much through the wisdom and experience from others.
