We have a '15 178 purchased from the PO last September. It has the dual 6 volt installation done at the dealers some time after the purchase from new.

My question is; There are two unconnected cables, about 10 gauge, one red and one white, with the crimped connectors taped over, in the left side battery box. I have tried to trace them but with no luck.

Does anyone in the forum know what these unconnected wires may be for?

We are from Vancouver and are planning a 6 week trip to California and Arizona, leaving in about 2 weeks.

Thanks for any assistance!

Cheers,

Terry and Louise

The two wires are meant to be connected if you use solar power. They run to the Zamp connector. They are loose on our 179 as well. We also use dual 6V batteries. See my mods for pictures.
