When traveling most people like to park on level ground in an RV when they stop. Most RV campsites do have perfectly level pads, but sometimes you do not have this luxury and therefore you need to level your RV yourself. Some vehicles come with self-leveling systems and feet, which extend down and self level the vehicle. Unfortunately, not all motor coaches, recreational vehicles or motor homes have such exotic features.

It is easy to carry a few specially design high-tech plastic plank stackers or just plain old planks. But how do you know when you RV is level?

First open the door on your R-pod and open it half way. Does it stay or does it open further or close. Which ever way it moves is down hill and thus you are not level. Next almost close your door but leave it open one inch, which way does it go? If it goes out then you are leaning to that side. If it went back before then you need to put a plank under the wheel on that side; see how simple this secret is?

NO, it is not. You could do damage to the frame. After I park I check for level side to side and adjust accordingly by placing short planks under the appropriate wheel. Than I unhook and check front to rear and adjust by cranking the tongue up or down. After all is level I crank the four supports down, they are only meant to stabilize the unit, not to support it.
