| Been on a campground in AL for 6 weeks and the temp has dropped drastically for a few days. No issue with using space heater, keeps the 178 above 70 if needed. While in the rack at night noticed a drastic difference in bed area temps close to rear window. Woke me up when I rolled toward window. The rear window has only a drape for privacy. I went to Lowe's and purchased a 16" X 16' of double sided aluminum insulation that has plastic bubble material in center (about a 1/4" thick). Cut it to fit rear window and fit into deep channel around inside of window (about 14 X 46 inches). WALLAH - drastic difference in temps, at least while cold, at window. The window is tinted so the refection is minimal to outside. |

After our first year of camping in cold weather back in 2011 with our 177 we pulled the privacy curtain out and replaced it with a honeycomb, cellular shade from Blinds.com. Wow, what a difference that made. And it is nice in that we usually leave it up so we can look out of the back at the scenery, if we want privacy just pull it down and hook the ends into a pair of clips, takes only a few seconds. Not cumbersome like the factory curtain - that was a bugger to open and close. It was posted a long time ago and is somewhere in this forum's postings. ditto - good tip. Popup owners use that zipped into their windows in the cold and heat. | The foil bubble wrap supplies insulation and the material fits in the window channel to look good and fit securely. Blinds are great idea, but I don't see myself sitting in bed in 178 and looking out rear window:) |

| I am at the MWR RV Park on Redstone Arsenal. Most folks here are somehow aligned with the military, visiting family in area, or have business in the area, or waiting on retirement and moved out of lodging where they lived in Huntsville area. It is a full service campground reasonable and well maintained. For me it is a place to live, cheaply until I retire. |
