Made our reservations at Bar Harbor- Oceanside KOA for mid May. Hopefully we will find the Blues and Stripers running!!Will also be able to do some sightseeing around Acadia National Park.

Don't miss whale watching on the gulf of Maine, Antiquing along the coast, Lobster dinners, and enjoying New England hospitality. We visited a long time ago and then there was a retired lobsterman that that tool tourists out on his boat and pulled a few traps to show how it was done. That was a neat trip.

We really enjoyed our week in Acadia NP (Blackwoods Campground) in September. Next year, we're going to make reservations for http://www.recreation.gov/camping/schoodic-woods-campground/r/campgroundDetails.do?contractCode=NRSO&parkId=74299 - Schoodic Woods Campground , across the harbor. It's a brand new campground, gets great reviews and is away from the crowds.

We definitely plan on taking the whale watch our and will be having Lobster, we really miss fresh seafood!!

Didn't bring the fishing gear this time, Leo. Biking, hiking, kayaking (inland lakes) and sight seeing. Didn't see much in the way of beach surf fishing opportunities on the island (Mt. Desert). Lot's of rock hoping places though. Just gotta avoid all the lobster pots and, of course, big tides.

Best Seafood Market - http://parsons-lobsters.com - Parsons Lobster and Seafood Shop We got steamers and lobster and cooked 'em up at camp.

Best Lobster Pound - http://www.thurstonforlobster.com - Thurstons ! It gets crowded - best for lunch. Just down the road from the KOA campground.
